Carrollton 4/19/2016

Carrollton receives their water from Dallas Water Utilities.  The main treatment plant is located at the corner of Old Denton and Keller Springs Rd.  The water comes from the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.

Testing Lab: Ward Labs www.wardlab.com
Test: W-5A Brewer's Test
Cost: $42 includes test bottle and shipping

Carrollton and Carrollton RO Analysis from 2008

The attached report has two pages. The first page was Carrollton water from my house in October of 2008. The second page is from a Culligan RO water machine that was in my local Walmart. It is a bit dated but it does show what remains after RO filtering. Ward Labs did the analysis. They have a brewers test that costs about $27 now. There is also a Household Mineral Test for $21 that is probably all that is needed.

Copper Canyon 09/15/2015

The water source for Copper Canyon is a blend of softened water with well water; not really good for brewing as-is.  For this reason, I dilute with 50-60% distilled water and adjust from there using Bru'n Water as a guide.

I'm considering an RO system eventually but for now the distilled wated dilution is working great.

I've been using Ward Laboratories for the analysis.

Carrollton 5/1/2015 (EXAMPLE)

This is an example of how to create a water report post.

If you know your city's water source, you might want to include that information here in the body.  For Carrollton, our water souce is the Elm Fork of the Trinity River which comes from Lake Lewisville.

You may also want to include information about the lab which performed the testing.  Such as the lab name and web site could be useful.

The sample report I posted here is from the City of Carrollton.  It's not focused on water salts important to brewing, but does have some useful information
