There will be an informal swap meet at the Brewday this Saturday. If you have stuff you want to buy, sell, trade or giveaway, bring it to the Brewday. I know there will be some ball-lock kegs for sale. My suggestion to the traders is, do your trading around 11am.
We are switching the Officers meeting from in person at The Londoner to a Zoom meeting. If you want to attend the Zoom meeting, send an email to Jimmy at [email protected] and Jimmy will send the meeting information to you.
The club will pay for shipping, for our current club members, to the Operation Fermentation. We will ship from Eric Morgan’s new homebrew store, NTHBS. Eric will ship via UPS on Wednesday December 28. That means you need to have your entries boxed, prepared for shipping to Eric’s store by Tuesday December 27 at 5pm.
North Texas Homebrew Supply is located at: 17811 Davenport Rd. Suite 11 Dallas, TX 75252 (214) 449-0243
NTHBS will be closed this Saturday the 24th. That means you can drop off you packed entries today, Thursday the 22nd, Friday the 23rd or next Tuesday the 27th.
The deadline for Operation Fermentation shipping is Wednesday January 4 so we are shipping the week before to leave time to deal with problems in shipping and hopefully not have your entries sit in UPS over the weekend.
Good luck with your entries in Operation Fermentation!
The December club meeting is tonight at Lakewood Brewing Company in Garland. They are located at 2302 Executive Dr, Garland, TX 75041. We will get started around 7:00, so plan to arrive at 6:30 or earlier. Lakewood now has a kitchen serving up delicious eats. Check the menu HERE.
We will introduce your 2023 Officers. Here is your chance to thank them or throw pickles at them.
Medals (not trophies) for the November COC will be handed out.
With the cancellation of the Brewday at Bill Lawrence’s house, Matt Parulis’s has offered to have a beer social at his house. A beer social is like a brewday with no brewing, just sharing and evaluation of beers (or what ever you want to bring).
Since there is no brewing at the Social, it will start at Noon. Lunch will be provided by the club. Bring your homebrew, judges will be available for evaluations. Special commercial beers are also welcome. Homebrew experts will be available to discuss your brewing questions.
Bring a chair! You don’t want to stand all day.
Matt’s address is 1805 Redbud Circle in Carrollton. Noon to 4pm.
The December Newsletter is available here, Click Me.
We have the Officers Meeting next Tuesday at Cafe Amore. This is when the old and new officers get together and decide the roles for the new officers. Everyone is welcome to come to any and all Officer Meetings. Give us your ideas and get involved in running the club. Cafe Amore is BYOB so bring your favorite homebrew or commercial drink.
The Club meeting is the following Tuesday, December 13th at Lakewood Brewing in Garland.
