Thanks Jimmy,

The article was a bit confusing by saying to use isomerized hop extract, but then later saying hop's antiseptic properties were needed and the aroma/flavor were not needed (or wanted).

I'll give your suggestions a try, thanks

Howdy, The subject says it all, problem is I can't find any at the retail level in the US, I can only find CO2 alpha acid extracts (I don;t believe they are the same). I used the step method described by John Palmer in "How to Brew" with one difference, I no longer chill my starter before decanting, just let it settle for couple hours at room temp
