Hello everyone, Spring party was awesome with delicious food and great beers.
Big Thanks to Smitty’s for hosting the party.

Are Jimmy Orkin in first place with a Kellerbier appropriately name Mark Rendon as second place goes to the real Mark Rendon with his Pre-Prohibition Porter and third place was awarded to James “Smitty” Smith with this Pale Ale.
Thanks again to Jason Garland, Matt Parulis Mike Grover, and Walter Hodges for judging and North Texas Homebrew Supply for allowing us their store for few hours.
Reminder you collect Brewer Royale points for being a COC judge.

Hello NTHBA family, just a friendly reminder of our Spring Party.
When: Saturday, May 20
Where: Smitty’s place
Address: 4100 Camino Dr. Plano 75074
Time: 6:00pm – 9:00pm
What to bring: Please bring an appetizer, side or desert to share. Feel free to bring your Homebrew or commercial beer of choice to share
Smitty is planning on smoking some chicken, probably with a Tex-Mex flare, as well as my take on suadero tacos, also smoked. Suadero is its own cut of beef not readily available even in these parts, so brisket flats will be substituted. I might throw some other items on the smoker as well.
Smitty have several beers on tap and the beer engine is making an appearance to serve my pub ale. My taplist can be found HERE.
We do have a pool and aside from a current temperature of 84 degrees, is fully prepared to accept any brave souls into its cool waters. Although, the current forecast does call for only a high of 79.

Before heading out to a National Homebrew event at North Texas Home Brew Supply or 3 Nations Brewing this Saturday, as a reminder, the May Club Only Competition (COC) registration closes this Tuesday, May 9th at 5pm and your entries of 2 bottles need to be turned in at the club meeting at North Texas Home Brew Supply Tuesday evening. If you can’t make the meeting, please reach out to me and we can make other arrangements.

Hello everyone, the month of May is around the corner so is the National Homebrew Day.
Eric Morgan is looking for volunteers to participate in a brew day for the National Homebrew Day.
If you bring your equipment and hang out with us for a while, NTHBS will supply the ingredients for a batch of beer, mead, cider, kombucha of coffee. Hot dogs will also be served!!
