A reminder of our October brew day happening tomorrow in Wylie at the home of Chris Van Allen. Weather will be great for brewing, so hope to see all of you there. Full details in original blog post here.
November brew day will be on 11/5 at North Texas Homebrew Supply in conjunction with AHA Learn To Homebrew Day. Members are invited to bring there brew rig and join in the brew day. Full details here.
The first Saturday in November is the American Homebrewers Association Learn to Homebrew Day. This day was established in 1999 to promote the hobby of homebrewing.
This year, North Texas Homebrew Supply will be hosting the November club brew day in association with the AHA event. In the spirit of learning, the goal is to have several different types of brew rigs and brew methods setup, (BIAB, Electric All-In-One, 3 vessel system etc, extract , partial mash, and all grain) to show new brewers the variety of equipment and methods available to brew beer.

The October brew day will be taking place on October 22nd in Wylie at the home of Chris Van Allen, 1746 Cherub Cheer Row, Wylie TX. Lunch will be provided by the club.
Chris will be brewing a British Strong Ale (17A).

This coming Saturday, September 24 starting at 9AM, we will have our club brewday hosted at Smitty’s. Calendar and location information is HERE. Lunch will be provided.

This Saturday, September 10th, the Rockwall Brewers Association will be holding a brew day at North Texas Homebrew Supply. The brew shop will be using our 35L Brewzilla all-in-one system. If you are interested in meeting brewers from a different club or want to see how the Brewzilla works, come on out from 10-4. The weather should be great for a brew day!
July’s brewday was a warm one. Five club members came out and sweltered with me as I brewed a Berliner Weiss. This beer will be a quick turn around and will be entered into the Limbo Challenge. The 15 minute boil kept the garage below 100 degrees while Matt, Mike, Marqus, Jimmy and a couple of neighbors stayed hydrated under the tents. Brian stopped by earlier before the hydrating beverages were being shared. Our next brewday will be in September.
There will be a Brewday at Walter Hodges this Saturday. Starts about 9am and ends about 3pm. Walter is brewing a Berliner Weiss. Lunch will be provided. Come out and share your homebrew or favorite commercial beverages.
It will be hot so be prepared to sweat. You should also bring a chair.
