Limbo Challenge Planning

Pre-event (prior to April - but earlier the better):

  1. Determine event dates
    1. Entry opens early July
    2. Entry closes end of July - allow a few days between entry close and check-in
    3. Judging weekend - first round full score sheets, second round - mini BOS
  2. Review styles to be accepted
  3. Review drop-off and shipping locations
  4. Limbo Committee Assignments to be determined
    1. Director
      1. coordinates activities
      2. makes sure things are getting done
      3. coordinates awards location
      4. hands out awards
    2. Head Judge
      1. registers the event with the BJCP
      2. coordinates judging activities
    3. Head Steward
      1. makes sure things run well on judging days
      2. coordinates setup and tear down of the judging site
      3. distributes entries to judging tables
      4. ensures lunch is available on judging days
    4. Data Coordinator
      1. configures the login site
      2. prepares data for entry login
      3. enters results on juding days
      4. prepares final results
  5. Update Limbo web site - typically done by the NTHBA IT Director
  6. Order awards
    1. JPaul has been producing awards
    2. Lawn mower blade - Richard Harris has been making the blade, Brian Beyer has been making the bases
  7. Arrage for awards location - director
  8. Supplies Needed
    1. 500-600 cups
    2. 500 Score Sheets
    3. 30 Style Guides - should carry over from year to year
    4. 75 Judge Waiver forms

Post Event:

Review the category counts and determine if categories need to be adjusted.
